Okay so this isn’t really that in-depth analysis of the Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) but it’s related. I was moving the other day into my new place of residence and was hooking up the TV and the RHOA came on. I had never seen it but I had heard it was about some triflin females.
Oh how right they were. Kim or whoever was talking bad about NeNe and Lisa. NeNe was just stirring up drama and overall what got me is nobody seemed to like each other. Now there’s nothing wrong with having beef I guess if that’s your forte but if you don’t like each other why are they always together? They were at a party together, had their kids playing with each other and traveling to family funerals. I just don’t get it.
Then something happened the other day. I found out my friend Tyra* doesn’t like my other friend Oprah*. (*Do I really need to tell you the names have been changed? I’m horrible at thinking up names.) Tyra and Oprah don’t chill. They don’t hang out. They don’t act like they like each other. They’re not rude so if they ran into each other they’d be cordial but they’re not going to fake like they are best friends. The problem is Tyra and Oprah are both friends with Mariah. Now Mariah can’t hang out with both of them because it just won’t work.
Which is better? The Real Housewives of Atlanta situation where people don’t like each other but still hang around each other to make the group happy? Or the Oprah/Tyra situation where they don’t like each other and therefore refuse to hang out with each other which jeopardizes other friendships?
lol @ the fake names! Hmm, I think it's best to do it the RHOA way only because I'm thinking about life in general. We dislike and downright hate ppl sometimes but it doesn't change the fact that you still gotta go to work, still gotta finish that degree, still gotta take your kids to daycare, etc. Life doesn't stop and relationship shouldn't end because you two can't get along. It go practice for real-world situations and teaches you to focus on what's more important….the group interaction. Maybe, they both will learn to get pass their lil conflicts eventually….even if it's for the sake of Mariah.
I agree with you on sometimes you just have to press through for the sake of life and other relationships. But! They're kind of not. One episode two of the girls are literally fighting on the street. When it gets to that point shouldn't you just sever ties?
Wow! I have never watched the show….fighting?! Like…for real?? Um, yeah…prb not! They too grown for all that anyways.
