Why black music will always be leaked AKA the obligatory Jay-Z/BP3 post. My brother really wanted me to talk about Jay-Z and the Blueprint 3 aka BP3. I told him I wouldn’t because every other blog, website, radio show, and news network is talking about it. But then I was intrigued, perplexed, maddened with a particular question if you will.
Everybody either downloaded all the BP3 leaks from the one with Drake to the Timbaland-produced ones. Everybody has had their say. Some people think Jay’s matured and others think he’s wack and needs to go back into retirement. Fickle audience.
I don’t know @TheOnlyTFG but Ricky at InternetGoon stays saying some pretty righteous things on his twitter. Either way, I agree with that tweet.
I can’t tell you how many times I heard “I got that new BP3 leak” either in person, text, on Twitter, Facebook, or some blog. It got me to thinking. Why don’t you ever hear somebody say “I got that new Carrie Underwood before everybody.” or “Yeah, I downloaded that leaked Jonas Brothers jawn.”
Do white artists not get leaked? Is it the genre? Why is it that hip-hop/rap/r&b songs get leaked and pop/rock/country fans wait to get their material? Is their camp tighter? There were accusations that Timbaland and his camp leaked the tracks off of BP3 because the first few were all the ones he produced.
I hate to go here but is it because black people bootleg the mess out of everything? And another thing – why is it when black people steal something electronically it’s bootlegging but when white people do it it’s pirating?
They get leaked, ppl just don't talk about it. trust me they are out there, i get emails all the time with links to Leaked CD's Black and White…
I do feel you on the last comment.
nice article.. u raise some interesting points… but I am still waiting to find out why black music will always be leaked… lol
ha I was hoping the discussion would lead to that answer!
Wow I’m frustrated. I’m not pointing fingers at you though, personally I think that its those that aren’t motivated to change.
i’m adding your blog rss feed so that i can see your new posts. Thank you for clear and concise details.
Dear admin, thanks for providing this blog post. I found it great. Take care,
You have some honest ideas here. I done a research on the issue and discovered most peoples will agree with your blog. After that early period, the Beatles evolved considerably over the years.
some genuinely interesting info , well written and loosely user pleasant.
I like this post!
I have been keeping my eye on the Triboro site (and their leftovers) for any whilst.
Thanks for taking the time to talk about this, I feel fervently about this and I take pleasure in learning about this topic. Please, as you gain information, please update this blog with more information. I have found it very useful.
This makes me somewhat upset. I’m not calling you out though, really I think its everyone else that is responsible.
Great to know. Ill book mark this.
There is noticeably a bundle to realize about this. I feel you made various good points in features also.
If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.
My boyfriend bookmarked this link and I came here accidentally. Thanks a great deal for this post! Really a good read. I dont have a lot of time right now to write lots of my blathering opinions,(my lil girl needs attention, lol), however when I return tomorrow evening, Ill explain thorough why I must say i dig using this article.
Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
